Where do links to my Web Site come from?
Here's a useful tip to find out about links to your web site, and where they are coming from. In the Google search box, type "link:domainname", and click "Google Search". For example, "link:bbc.co.uk" return a list of sites linking to the BBC - rather a lot!
Another useful search facility in Google is to be able to search within a site. This can be done using "searchterm site:domain", so to search the prime ministers office for the Chancellor (lurking there somewhere...no doubt) you would type:
"Darling site:10downingstreet.gov.uk" into the Google search box, and hit the "Google Search" button.
