Organic SEO or Pay Per Click (PPC) ?
Working for an SEO consultancy, I’m often asked by clients, when starting an organic search campaign, whether they should start a pay per click campaign to bring in “sales” until their organic rankings (sometimes referred to as "Natural Listings") increase the relevant convertable traffic to their sites.
My view is this, and you can have it for free; if your site is well written and designed to convert visitors, then it may be worth a try.
If your site needs SEO copywriting to not only bring relevant traffic, but to convert customers, then you’d just be throwing money away.
Let us do the research, write the professional SEO copy, and then at least you’ve a chance.
Without that, you’re paying for people to come to your site to say “Ah, so what? What do I do now? I know - go elsewhere”.
Believe me, this isn’t funny - I had one client paying more than £10 ($18) a click to a site with no copy whatsoever!
