Really Useful Tips
Where do links to my Web Site come from?
Here's a useful tip to find out about links to your web site, and where they are coming from. In the Google search box, type "link:domainname", and click "Google Search". For example, "link:google.com" return a list of sites linking to Google UK - rather a lot!
Another useful search facility in Google is to be able to search with a site. This can be done using "searchterm site:domain", so to search the prime ministers office for Gordon Brown (an interesting concept, at least...we may be jumping the gun) you would type:
"Brown site:10downingstreet.gov.uk" into the Google search box, and hit the "Google Search" button.
